Dear Dr. Owens:
I haven’t had a chance to properly thank you for what you did for my mom on Tuesday. Honestly, with me gone; I don’t know what she would have done without you. I’m not a religious person but really feel like I found you for a reason. As you recall, I originally found you because I was trying to help out my boss. He was not lucky enough to get you and had a miserable experience with the vet that we ended up sending to him. I’m so glad that you and I were ultimately able to meet and that I had the foresight to introduce you to my mom.
I talked to her briefly on Tuesday because I was so busy here and could not take the time nor emotional energy to give her the proper amount of time. I can tell you that all she kept saying over and over again was how peaceful it was and how thankful she was for you. I will never forget what you did for her and will always be indebted to you for that.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I lost my Malibu. But, it also seemed like a good time to write and say
thank you so much for being with
Malibu and me at a very difficult time. Your warmth, compassion and grace
made the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life, bearable.

Well we are getting along ok. What a huge hole has opened up.
I just wanted to thank you for all your care and help. I am sorry that I couldn't say goodbye but I know you understand. Even though you didn't know Lucky for long, I felt that you were one of his fans and I am really grateful that you supported our efforts to keep him going. I am so grateful that we had extra time with Lucky, as stressful as it was. You were a big help and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so very, very, very much for your caring and compassion for us. We were strangers yet you treated us all as if we were your true friends. We are very grateful that we were given your name as you made an absolutely horrendous day a little more doable as we were able to have Sniffer here at home instead of in an office!

Thank you again for coming to help us with Samson. While it's always so very hard to say goodbye to a loved pet-family member, the process that we experienced Sunday was so much better than those of the past. We found a great deal of comfort in knowing that Samson was home, in front of his fire, with his family when we said goodbye. It was obvious that there was no distress, which surely would have been the case had we been faced with taking him to an ER Clinic. So, thank you again for making a very sad time bearable.
We would like to continue using your home vet services for our other animals... Keeping them healthy, I mean, of course!

Thanks for setting my mind at ease in regard to Beau's care. Attached is a photo from Camp Beau, 2009. The supporting cast includes our two younger grand-daughters.

Dr. Judy Owens was nothing short of wonderful. Our 15 1/2 year old lab was very sick and could barely walk, so we had to find a mobile vet to come see her and help us put her to sleep if needed.
Dr. Owens arrived on time, was very kind and gentle with us and our dog, knowing we were all upset. She gave our sweet dog an examination and gave us her recommendation to put her to sleep that day since she was suffering from cancer. She offered to give us treatment suggestions if we wanted to see about treating her cancer. As that was neither financially or humanely feasible, we chose to put our dog to sleep.
She gave us a lock of our dog's fur for safekeeping and was just unspeakably kind through the entire event. Her fees were exactly what I've been charged for going into a brick-and-mortar vet, nothing more. She took away our dog's body to cremate.
Our toddler was asleep through the whole process and we told her about him. A few days later, she wrote him a hand-written letter for when he's older about how he will likely not remember this dog from his infancy, but that he loved her and she was important to our family. It was so, so touching.
We cannot recommend Dr. Owens highly enough.
